It’s amazing when you can browse world news headlines and see open instances of psychological “projection and transference” being acted out on an international scale. I see this all the time, and of course it’s not new, but it is just as grating on the nerves when you see it for the umpteenth time as it is the first time. It usually goes like this:
One nation [ nation A ] accuses another nation [ nation B ] of the very abuses or crimes, or misdeeds or whatever [ fill-in-the-blank ] that the first nation itself is guilty of. But in the international game of twisted logic and socially endorsed madness that is known by the popular term “foreign policy” it’s usually “nation A” which is actually guilty of the many political transgressions and foreign policy mistakes which it heaps upon the pile of accusations placed onto “nation B” instead. Only the astute can actually perceive the psychological arm wrestling match between the two nations [ A & B ] which is being wagered when these events take place in the media. In other words a wager is being placed upon how damaging the accusatory poop [ otherwise known as official statements from nation A’s highest officials and heads of state ] from nation A – directed at nation B – might be on the world scene.
This is also known as:
“If we collectively lie and say this: “___________” about nation A, will it work? Can we persuade the world that our accusatory poop is actually truthful, if we deliver it with enough force, pomp and media fortification? Let’s try it.”
Now what makes this particular form of global madness all the more toxic is the fact that nation B usually retorts quite publicly to the original “projection and transference” accusations from nation A in such a manner that the whole round of psychological poop slinging escalates. This escalation of international psychological poop slinging in the world media is also known as psychological warfare, aka PSY OPs, or “psychological operations.” It’s also another term for routine foreign policy dialogues.
As this escalation rises, high officials from both nation A and nation B weigh in on the matter, along with official hired pontificators for both nations A and B and every other major nation on Earth [ that would be nations C through Z ].
Never mind the fact that the original accusatory poop slung out from nation A was the telltale “projection and transference” spittle that spiritually rotted envious small rogue nations spew when trying to convince the world that their deranged manner of governance [ which their own people despise and want to flee ] is both moral, just, superior and desirable.
The red headed stepchild who lives in the basement rogue nations which most often resort to this tired old tactic to try and advance their positions on the world scene are also the very same nations who routinely perpetrate the most outrageously inhumane, oppressive, cruel and outrageous human rights abuses upon their own people, namely Iran and.
All the World Becoming One Huge Ongoing International Media PSY OP
I have watched all this high silliness play out in the international media for decades and it is certainly nothing new. But it is tiresome enough that now and again I comment on it. I would add that apparently no one has ever told the Iranian Ayatollah that in the West we have these people called “bloggers” who not only have access to documented facts and statistics on human rights abuses, but that these “bloggers” routinely report on such urgent issues [ like human rights abuses in Iran ] online, citing the facts rather than resorting to “projection and transference” to try to make their case.
