Russia, China Vs. USA in Military Might

You knew it had to come: the inevitable barrage of posts by news bloggers [ like me, for example ] who want to know who could ultimately clobber who in an international military super-power smack-down.

You do know, of course, that such a confrontation would be the beginning of the “war to end all wars”, as when there is practically no human life left on earth, there will finally be no reason left for human beings to war with one another. I just wanted to make sure the young and the foolish realize this. I’m not posting any of the material which will begin arriving in your email inbox over the next few months because I crave a military showdown between the US, Russia and China. I’m not suicidal, nor do I entertain the delusions of Leftist grandeur which pervade our present regime in DC as to what the real motives of Vladimir Putin are. Thankfully, I not only have eyes, but I see spiritually beyond the poses and appearances of political pretense.

I should not be surprised at all by the annexation of Crimea in recent days by Putin. I began to know that all was not as it seemed in the “new near bankrupt” Russia when I saw news reports back in 2009 and 2010 that Moscow was financing the construction of several entire underground cities in Russia which could each house and care for 30,000 people or more. That didn’t seem to me to be the way a nation who is crawling out of bankruptcy normally invests their precious little resources when a period of genuine international detente’ is in place. That was a screaming red flag. Pun fully intended.

The cosmic facts are quite clear. Whether it occurs in my lifetime or not  [ Dear Lord: … “I prefer NOT.” ] there will eventually be a global conflict between the BIG 3 super military powers which will decimate nearly 1/3rd or more of all life on earth, more than 2.7 billion people.  Not only does the “bible tell me so” – read Revelations, but blunt existential common sense tells the observer of world events that there has never been a time in world history of the build-up of arms, military might and super-weapons when these same weapons were not eventually used on each other in dreadful military conflict.

I know. It’s a horrific thought. I’m disinclined to go there. But here I am writing this post. If one claims to be a “prepper” [ I now used the term with considerable acidic humor ]  one can help but glance at a map of the Mideast, do a little bit of quick mental math, then take in the recent events in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Egypt and begin to wonder: Just exactly WHEN and HOW SOON will world military forces begin to converge in the ancient valley of Megiddo in Israel?

Things that make you fall down on your knees and just PRAY.

Russian pride is tattered no more.

Below are some links, cited text and video which size up the relative strengths and weaknesses of the Big 3’s military might. May God shine down His wisdom flame on world leaders’ souls, and may they choose NOT to begin walking the final dreadful path of global conflict and mass human extinction which will come with it.

Published July 23rd 2012: A Full Rundown Of Russia’s Immense Military Acquisitions

Cited: ”

Funded by booming oil and gas profits, Russia is in the midst of a huge equipment upgrade backed by Putin’s promise to increase military spending by $770 billion from 2014 to 2020.

It sounds like a lot, and it is, the Russian military budget doubled from 2006 to 2009 from $25 billion to $50 billion; but it’s still not a tenth of the U.S. defense budget, which averages around $600 billion per year.”

Russian Naval Technology Advances Since the 1970s

You can compare any two countries’ global firepower in a side to side format at this link: posts a prominent disclaimer on the bottom of ever page of their site that states more or less that their estimates are based on the currently available public information and may or may not be accurate. That’s comforting, isn’t it? We really don’t know, do we?
I’ll be posting more, much more, on the topic of what we have VS. what Russia has, in the way of a military defense, in weeks to come. I will admit that thus far, real facts on this subject are maddeningly difficult to come be. Post your research leads under comments, if they are credible.

I'd love to hear you sound off. Thanks!
