What if? What if the world’s most deranged lunatic leader of the most reclusive, cruel, oppressive and dangerous hermit nation on earth decided to commit national suicide? What if North Korea actually launched an attempted nuclear first strike against the United States on Super Bowl 50 weekend, while the entire free world was partying away, completely distracted and unprepared? Sounds the plot line to a really goofy, poorly made Seth Rogen comedy film, doesn’t it? [ No, not really. ]
How long will the world stand by while North Korea’s Kim Jong Un continues to up, up, up the ante, getting ever closer to being able to actually hit the United States with a nuclear first strike. Sanctions are obviously not working, and they haven’t been for years. Is the free world really more or less helpless to do anything that can really put a stop to the diabolical plans of a nuclear armed North Korea? We west coast USA residents think about these things. We think about them more than we should. We’re first in the line of fire, along with Hawaii and Alaska. Will someone, somewhere, please do something? Once again, “Where is 007 when you need him?”

North Korean state media has not reported on the changed schedule.
On Friday, U.S. President Barack Obama spoke by telephone with President Xi Jinping of China, North Korea’s main ally and neighbour, and agreed that a North Korean launch would represent a “provocative and destabilising action,” the White House said.
Obama and Xi also said they would coordinate efforts to respond to North Korea’s nuclear test last month and said they would not accept North Korea as a nuclear weapon state.”
