George W. Bush has already used his “get out of jail free card” more than once since he left office in 2008. As the dismal ugly truth trickles out about the details of George W. Bush era federally sanctioned CIA ‘torture’ program, we are learning that many American medical professionals were also caught up in it to their eye teeth. This horrendous fact qualifies the second Bush administration for inclusion in an All Star “Hall of Shame” for human rights abuses which makes our own global policing of the human rights abuses of other nations an exercise in the absolute height of hypocrisy.
Coincidentally, I changed my voter registration this morning from GOP to Independent. Not that I believe that will change the nature of the darkening federal landscape one iota, but it just felt good to officially distance myself just a little bit more from a two-party political system that is riddled with rife, corruption, duplicity and ever more routine attempts at obfuscation of the facts.
