Missing in Action from American Evening News Broadcasts: Details About Civil Unrest, Which is Roaring Around the World

Police clash with protesters in Ukraine

A one sentence mention of a major breaking news world event does not constitute “a news report” or even a “news story.” If anything, a one sentence mention is little more than evasive action disguised as lip service. Don’t you agree? Americans by now MUST know by now that we watch some of the most sanitized, homogenized, and censored network evening news reports in the world. Conspicuously missing from most evening alphabet network newscasts every night for the past week:

1) Any news which reports on Muslims slaughtering Christians – in any place in the world, and there are dozens of places where this is going on every day, especially all over Africa. Example: The Central African Republic, where more than 400 have died in the last 4 days as Muslims clashed with Christian militias. The French military has now moved several thousand troops into the CAR to try to restore order. Not a peep on USA based newscasts about this.

2) Any news report which tells the story of any sort of popular uprising against a sitting government, and those incidents are also roaring all around the world. Thailand is the best example, where tens of thousands have been protesting their government for weeks and finally this weekend have inspired the Thai Prime Minister to step down and call for new elections. Another case in point is the amazing news event today where more than 500,000 people have gathered in intense ongoing rioting and protests in the Ukraine, toppling and crushing with a mallet a statue of Lenin during  ongoing riots. Not a peep about this event from American evening news broadcasts.

Doesn’t this inexplicable, noticable censorship of American network newscasts strike you as odd

Why the silence? 60Minutes news broadcasters just spent exactly one sentence on the Ukrainian uprising, the most significant since 2004.  White House controlled media news outlets must figure that what we don’t know and can’t see might not inspire us, huh? It really is quite conspicuous and it really is inexcusable.

The only way I am able to find out what is actually happening in the world is by reading news websites. The “NBC Evening News”, “CBS Evening News” along with ABC are useless. It’s inexcusable that our leading network news agencies insist on ignoring ominous and important world events. We all need to demand better more thorough news coverage and when you find an item that is newsworthy – by all means blog it. The urgent news that we share with each other may turn out to be the best news coverage we will find anywhere.
